A note from Fraggle:

2026 is a big year for me, as it marks twenty years since I first set foot on the grounds of a YMCA overnight camp.

I still vividly remember my own first year at camp - I was so nervous to spend a week away from home, to live in a cabin with other girls I had never met, and for everything to be new and different from anything I had ever experienced. What I didn’t know was how that first week at camp would change my life.

Camp is a place where every child belongs and is celebrated for who they are rather than what they can do. Camp is a place that thrives off of silliness and laughter; where joy can be found in all the little moments. And during that week in 2006, I really got to feel that camp spirit. I stepped out of my comfort zone and became part of a community where I could be myself.

Since then I have firmly believed that camp is a little bit magic and that every child deserves to have the experiences that I had as a camper. At Camp Silver Creek your child will grow and learn in a place where they matter; not for their skills or what they’re good at, but because they’re part of our camp family. We hope that your child experiences a little bit of magic with us this summer.
