Tim Sinatra is a highly experienced non-profit CEO noted for innovation in programs to support youth, family, and community development; collaborating with community organizations to meet local, regional, and statewide needs; and bringing strategic focus, financial stability, and growth to organizations. Sinatra served as the director of organizational development for the Oregon Department of Human Services. Before that, he was the CEO of Eliada Homes in Asheville, NC, which provides a range of services to children and families. Sinatra spent 23 years with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, serving as CEO of organizations in California, Virginia, and Salem. During his time as the CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Salem, Marion, and Polk Counties, Sinatra was named the Boys and Girls Clubs of America Western Region Professional of the Year. He served as the president of the Oregon State Alliance, which conducted state and federal lobbying efforts. Sinatra holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in business administration. He lives in Salem with his wife, Christy.
Brandon Lemon joined the Y in November of 2013 as Sports Director for the Silver Falls YMCA in Silverton. Brandon competed in football, basketball, and track at Linfield College, then transferred to Willamette University where he played football and basketball. He worked for Willamette from 2009-2018 as the Defensive Backs Coach for the football team. Brandon served as Sports Director, Branch Director, and VP of Sports and Programs before his current appointment as Chief Operations Officer. If Lemon's last name sounds familiar, it’s because his late grandfather was known as the “Clown Prince” of the Harlem Globetrotters. Brandon lives in Keizer with his wife, Amanda.
Kenny Bondelie, Chief Financial Officer
Kenny Bondelie has over a decade of non-profit financial experience, most recently as the Director of Finance and Quality Assurance at New Avenues for Youth in Portland and previously as the Finance Manager at Oregon Food Bank. Kenny is thrilled to apply his experience implementing and building financial and data processes with the Y’s community-centered mission. In his free-time you will find Kenny exploring Oregon with his wife Emily and two-year-old daughter Corinne.
Nancy worked as the business manager for the Lucas Auto Dealership Group in Cupertino, California, for twenty years before moving to Oregon. She worked full time while attending university and raising her two children. In 2001, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Science from Marylhurst, and in 2002, a Masters in Teaching from George Fox. Umeda taught middle school science for ten years with Salem Keizer schools. In 2013, she accepted a temporary position with the YMCA, which quickly led to a full-time role.
Jessica was born and raised in Salem where she graduated from North Salem High School and Chemeketa Community College before moving on to Boise State University. She spent 12 years with the Boys & Girls Club and most recently was on the Grants Team at Travel Oregon. She lives with her husband and two kids. Her hobbies include gardening, photography, fishing, and road trips to Eastern Oregon.
Jordan Blake, Salem Branch Director
Jordan Blake is an accomplished nonprofit director with a heart to serve our community. Growing up in Keizer on a fourth generation farm, graduating from McNary and working for his parents’ separate businesses, Jordan honed a strong work ethic that he took with him as he joined the Navy and saw the world at a young age while serving our country.
Always challenging the status quo, Jordan has built a reputation as a doer with a good heart. With a mind for and degree in public policy and administration, entrepreneurship, and social sciences, together with 30 years of work experience has led Jordan to his dream job. Our Branch Director of our new Salem Family YMCA is a person who is attentive and at the ready to bring a new dawn with our new Y shining as beacon of light, embracing the challenge to overcome obstacles to live as the whole, mindful, and fit humans that we are and have the capability of being.
Cloe Wells, Membership Director
Cloe Wells was born and raised in Salem and comes to the YMCA with several years of experience in nonprofit administration, with a focus on therapeutic residential support services. Cloe is excited to bring her background in community program development and heart for advocacy to this organization. She lives in Keizer with her husband Alex, daughter Isabel, and their doodle Podrick. Cloe's hobbies include chasing after her toddler, painting, gardening, and baking.
Mikki Trowbridge joined the Y team in September 2020 to coordinate the Capital Campaign to build the new Salem Family YMCA. Mikki has an MBA focused on nonprofit management and marketing from Willamette's Atkinson Graduate School of Management and previously worked in program and resource development for the United Way and Boys & Girls Club. Mikki runs a local yoga community and lives in Salem with her husband, her dog Shanti, and her two cats, Reeses and Musketeer.
Youth Development Team
Daniel Galvan received his B.S. in Psychology and Early Childhood Development from Oregon State University. He has more than 12 years of experience managing and overseeing before- and after-school child care programs that emphasize learning and development. Daniel previously served as the program director at the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation.
Felicia has been serving YMCA families since 2017 as a point of contact for parents and guardians seeking child care. Felicia brings a wealth of experience in early childhood education and youth development, making her a valuable resource for families navigating their program options.
America Flores has worked for the Family YMCA of Marion and Polk counties for since 2017. She began as a preschool teacher's aide, moved up to headteacher, then director within her first year. She is now one of the Youth Development Program Directors.
Mariah has been working for the YMCA on and off since 2012, primarily at our residential camp, Camp Silver Creek, where the campers know her as “Nemo”. Mariah played volleyball and lacrosse in high school and college and values the role that sports can play in a child’s life. Mariah graduated from Oregon State University with a double major in Education and Human Development and Family Sciences. Her focus for education is Health as well as Family and Consumer Sciences. She is passionate about helping children develop life skills so that they can be successful.
Camping Services Team
Jeff is youth development professional who has worked in summer camps, early childhood education, and challenge courses. He joined the Family YMCA of Marion and Polk Counties in 2021 as our Camping Services Director. Prior to joining us he was the Summer Camp Director at YMCA Camp Wapsie in Iowa and a pre-k teacher in Seattle. Jeff has earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Adventure Education from Prescott College, a Master’s in Teaching from Whitworth University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and History from the University of Washington. (Go Huskies!) Outside of work Jeff enjoys reading, playing disc golf, watching movies, and collecting chess sets (he has over 150 different sets)
Salem Family YMCA Team
Bobbi brings extensive administrative experience and a passion for service to her work for the Y. Prior to 2020, she logged 15 years in customer service, served as the administrative assistant for a property management company, and transcribed for several non-profit ministries. She is most proud to be a wife, a mother of 4 boys, and a grandmother to five rising stars. In her free time, she is a volunteer in her church.
Anna Marquez, Salem's Youth Sports Coordinator, has been involved in many aspects of the YMCA over the years. From volunteering as a coach and referee in basketball and soccer to working at the front desk in Salem's old building. Anna is from the Salem area and played basketball at West Salem High School as well as at Chemeketa Community College. Anna ran track and cross country and has a passion for all team sports.
The YMCA's core values include Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Anna aligns herself with these qualities and hopes to lead everyone involved in the Youth Sports Programs to strive for these characteristics as they play, volunteer, work, or spectate within the department.
Monmouth-Independence Family YMCA Team
Andrea Van Heeswyk, Monmouth-Independence Branch Director
Andrea started working for the YMCA part-time in May of 2015 and rapidly rose through the ranks to become the branch director of the Monmouth-Independence Family YMCA. Andrea specializes in health and wellness, holding certifications through the American Council of Exercise in personal training, group fitness, weight management, fitness nutrition, and as a health coach.
Ema started her position as youth sports coordinator in 2021 shortly after moving to Monmouth. She moved to the area to go to school at Western Oregon University and studies exercise science and education with the dream of being a PE teacher. She played volleyball and has always had a love for all sports and working with children.
Ema has a passion to teach our core values through the use of sports and strives for each player to feel welcomed and most importantly to have fun. She feels that sports have a place in every kid's life, and they should have every opportunity possible to be involved.
Silver Falls Family YMCA Team
Kaitlyn Barnes is a graduate of Silverton High School and currently attends Western Oregon University, where she is pursuing a degree in Pediatric Psychology. Kait started her career at the Y as a membership specialist and now serves as the Branch Director for Silverton. In her spare time, Kait also coaches a club volleyball team, the Bearcats. She lives with her family in Silverton, Oregon.
