Cheerleading at the YMCA

Our cheerleading clinics, camps, and classes offer a fun, yet structured way for kids in grades K to 8  to learn cheerleading at the basic to competitive levels. 

(A registration button will be added when we are in open program enrollment. Competition enrollment begins in August, summer camp enrollment will begin in April and Sideline enrollment will begin in August.)

Summer Cheer Camps Grades K to 8 (Co-Ed)

  • Seasons: Summer

  • Location: Monmouth-Independence

 

Multiple one-week sessions with weekly registrations to fit your summer schedule. Camps focus on skill-building, teamwork, dance routines, stunts, tumbling, and more! Registrations are currently closed for our 2022-2023 season

Competition Cheer Grades K to 8 (Co-Ed)

  • Seasons: All

  • Location: Monmouth-Independence

  • Cost: $675 for community members/$375 for YMCA members

No previous experience is needed and teams are formed by age group. Each team holds one team practice and one tumbling practice each week.

This program emphasizes fun, skill acquisition, and teamwork while students learn a competitive cheer routine with tumbling, jumping, stunting, and dance.

 

 

Middle School Sideline Cheer Grades 6th-8th

  • Fall Season 

  • Location: Monmouth-Independence

  • Cost: $85 for community members/$50 for YMCA members

No previous experience is needed. Teams practice for gameday cheers, dance routines, and halftime shows. Cheerleaders will practice once to twice a week and will perform and cheer at Talmage Middle School home games.
