Red Cross lifeguard certification is the national standard required for working around pools, lakes, or beaches. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and must pass the pre-course skills test at least two weeks prior to registering. For lifeguards in their second year, we also offer the shorter Red Cross lifeguard recertification.
